Europe’s leading health, fitness and wellness group, David Lloyd Clubs has over 134 clubs across nine European countries. Hadfield Cawkwell Davidson architects have worked with David Lloyd Clubs for over 17 years as their lead Architect on projects in the UK and throughout Europe, providing architecture, structural engineering and interior design services on both refurbishment and new build projects. We have also been responsible for the design of new concepts such as Blaze, Delta Studios, Workstation and Spa Retreats.

David Lloyd Wickwoods has undergone a significant £3.5 million transformation, establishing it as a leading health, wellbeing, and fitness club in the South East. The comprehensive refurbishment has created an enhanced environment for members to escape, recharge, and reset.  

The reception area and restaurant have been completely reimagined into a new Clubroom, providing a versatile space for members to enjoy refreshments, socialise, or work remotely in comfortable surroundings.

For racquet sports enthusiasts, David Lloyd Wickwoods now features 3 brand new outdoor Padel courts, offering an accessible and engaging activity for all fitness levels.  

The club benefits from completely new changing rooms and showers, featuring sleek interior fittings and secure, padlock-operated lockers. The increased space offers a touch of luxury, aiding members in their post-session recovery.  

The stunning Spa Garden has been significantly expanded, doubling in size to provide more space for relaxation and rejuvenation amidst beautiful surroundings, offering a tranquil retreat.

The indoor pool and spa area have been refreshed and modernised with a sleek new design.

Fitness offerings have been significantly enhanced with a transformed gym that has tripled in size, now equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, a sleek new design, and modern lighting.

Additionally, the club now boasts brand new dedicated studios, including a Reformer Pilates Studio, Cycling Studio, Mind & Body Studio, and High Impact Studio, hosting a wide array of fitness classes.
