HISTORY
Hadfield Cawkwell Davidson Architects & Engineers is a RIBA Chartered Practice and AJ100 firm. Founded in 1834 by Matthew Ellison Hadfield and now has around 80 professional staff. With offices based in Sheffield and working on projects throughout the UK.
HCD unites Architects, Engineers, Masterplanners, Interior Designers and Structural Engineers in one practice combining professional expertise, creativity and commercial awareness.
We provide a comprehensive range of services and have an enviable reputation for the efficient delivery of well-conceived, innovative and sustainable projects, created by design teams with solid experience and fresh thinking. We work across a range of sectors residential, retail, leisure, commercial, healthcare and education.

BIM
Hadfield Cawkwell Davidson Limited has always invested in the advancement of technology and our approach to the progression of BIM within the industry is no exception.
The business continues to invest in the use of Autodesk Revit and numerous projects have been successfully delivered using this software for our commercial and retail clients. As part of the progression we have invested in new hardware and employee development with the aim of offering the best service to our clients.
In addition to using Revit on projects at all stages of the process we have assisted our clients with an understanding of the BIM process and how they can implement it into their own business structure.
Collaborative working is fundamental to the success of BIM projects and this is something that the business and its staff are well versed in. We aim to deliver exceptional buildings as part of a successful team and the BIM process will aid this.
